Brigitta Rohr (66) immigrated from Switzerland to New Zealand in 1991; together with her husband Martin and their four children. She now is a grandma of eight children (6 months to 15 years of age). Her and her husband live on Whangaparaoa Peninsula.

For the last thirty-two years they have been part of Albany Baptist Church. They do not mind travelling to Albany every Sunday as this clearly is their home church. Brigitta is the Chair of Elders, leads the Prayer Ministry and engages in leading a home group.

Her original studies were in business; she fluently speaks German/English and has a good understanding of French as she worked in the French part of Switzerland for two years.

For the next 20 years, Brigitta concentrated on being a mother to her four kids, and an adopted teenager, whilst contracting out her HR/Payroll management skills. She has been holding this contract with a Civil Engineering Company since the year 2000-present.

She retrained to become a counsellor in her late forties (BA in couns.) and specialized in professional/clinical supervision (PGD in prof SV). She has been working in private practice ever since.

Brigitta is an astute, strategic thinker and a person easy to connect with. She is outgoing and a good communicator. She listens well and can think ‘outside of the box’ and loves to encourage others.

She enjoys people, walking her little Miniature Schnauzer at the beach, listening to an audio book and enjoys spending time with all their grandchildren and undertaking travels with her husband.
